Volunteers
for Democracy's Future

The Accountability Project
The Accountability Project will be a non-partisan initiative dedicated to strengthening American democracy by supporting public officials who uphold democratic norms — and holding accountable those who undermine them.
Built on the success of Project 67, it ensures that accountability continues.
What We Mean by Supporting Democracy
The Accountability Project will apply a clear, public standard to those who hold power, irrespective of party.
We define supporting democracy as:
This project does not advance a party or ideology or a specific policy agenda
It advances a standard.
When leaders meet the standard, we support them.
When they don’t, we ensure voters know the difference.

Why This Work Matters
For donors, the Accountability Project reflects a disciplined, long-term approach to reinforcing democratic norms beyond any single race or election cycle. The work focuses on research, public education, and sustained accountability—ensuring that democratic leadership is recognized and anti-democratic behavior is not normalized.
For volunteers, it provides a structured way to turn civic concern into meaningful action. Volunteers contribute to research, information-sharing, and outreach efforts that help voters evaluate leadership through a clear democratic lens.Democracy only works when accountability is real—and when citizens choose to sustain it.
Launch Timing
Following the completion of Project 67, the Accountability Project will formally launch on:
